The History of UKconfederate.com
(Linedancing & Country Music for Lincolnshire).
This website was originally launched in September 2000, the exact date has now been lost in time. The main purpose back then was, and still is today, to provide information about where line dance socials are taking place within Lincolnshire.
First Revamp.
In the summer of 2004, the ukconfederate website had it’s first revamp, to bring a more fresh look up to date look. After the revamp “Line dancing in Lincs” not only had socials listed on it’s pages but all the available classes that took place within the county along with dance scripts. This was a massive undertaking and took considerable resources to ensure that the available information was correct. Unfortunately, due to the massive resources/time required and the large geographical area that Lincolnshire covers, the classes and dance scripts simply wasn’t sustainable features.
The dance step sheet information was dropped in early 2006, as there were plenty of other websites that had this feature. I carried on providing class information but this was also starting to dwindle down as clubs failed to provide me with up to date information as to where their classes were taking place.
Complete Site Overhaul.
Then in May 2010, the website underwent a major revamp, out went the old style website, that I had used since 2004 along with the class information. I now concentrate on providing the information on where the socials take place. Basically, we have become an online diary for line dance socials in Lincolnshire.
Some class information is still provided within the pages of the this website, these have been provided by the teacher’s involved.
